Packing and Shipping Requirements

IT equipment requires special care when packaging to avoid damage during shipping. All trade equipments and components in the same condition they were when de-installed. Please use special care and follow the packaging guidelines below to ensure the equipment arrives properly.

1

Prepare the Package for Shipment

Include enough packing material to ensure that movement will be restricted during shipping.
It is preferable to package and ship items individually. If you must ship multiple items within the same box, ensure that each item is separated by packing material. Items should never be packaged loose or unprotected.

2

Select the Proper Packaging

If available, it is always best to use the box your de-installed equipment arrived in when originally purchased. If it is not available, select a box of similar size that is in new (or good) condition. All boxes should be securely sealed and fixed onto pallets. Avoid boxes and pallets that have been damaged or crushed.
Items should never be shipped without foam, bubble wrap, or a static bag. Please be cautious to use a material that is specifically created for shipping sensitive electronics. Some packaging materials may conduct static electricity and damage the items.

3

Seal the Package

Seal all boxes with appropriate packing tape. Use enough tape so the package will ship securely.
Do not use masking tape or “Scotch” tape to seal packages.

4

Strap to Pallet

Cover the package and strap securely to a pallet. If your shipment is unstrapped or improperly strapped it may easily tip and damage the entire shipment. No part of the packages should overhang any side of the pallet. Do not load pallets in excess of 1.5 meters in height.
Items must be boxed before strapping to a pallet. Never ship unboxed items.

Shipping Suggestions

It is recommended that you use an accredited national shipping company such as UPS or FedEx. Both companies are able to handle single box shipments as well as palletized larger loads. If your equipment is on the smaller side, you may want to consider shipping a USPS Priority Mail flat-rate box. The United States Postal Service will deliver priority packing materials for free, allow you to print shipping labels from their website, and schedule a pick-up for free.
